Abstract
The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how a third space is created based on an analytical approach of Crosthwaite’s the literary work. Thus, emphasize the idea that the border area between Mexico and the United States is a space that mixes the characteristics of both countries and results in a third space and what is known as a third culture: the border culture. Through specific examples taken from the text, the way in which the culture mixes along the border region develops in the creation of third terms such as language (spanglish) and the space per se is illustrated
