Abstract

It was analyzed the socio-nutritional perception of obesity in Nutrition bachelor students from private universities at Bajío zone. 80 students were surveyed, an opened-question auto applied questionnaire was designed. Central categories and subcategories were created, the category with the most numerical significance according to the number of quotations was The body image of the Nutritionist, and the lowest was Nutritionist as a social actor. As a conclusion manner, students associated obesity with an etiology related mainly with: wrong food habits, emotional factors, inheritance and food regime, also, the participants frequently do energetic restrictions as a control of weight strategy and their body image construction
