Abstract
During the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries the writing and publication of books specialized in magic and demonology was so extensive and constant that it constitutes a special editorial case, revealing the mentality of the time. These texts were related to the critical stage of persecution of witchcraft, so its dissemination had relevance and impact on social and legal life. Many demonological treaties have gone down in history because of their masterful treatment in the fight against the supposed diabolical
threats, some others expect criticism and reissues to take their place in the history of the book, as is the case presented here.
