Abstract
This essay provides a philosophical hermenutics of the core themes of two philosophical books that have been recently pusblished in Spanish in order to examine the relationship they bear to each other and to a broader theoretical context in ontology. First of all, it considers Atilana Guerrero Sánchez´s monography on Pedro Sánchez de Acre. Un ortodoxo español. Secondly, the author examines Gustavo Bueno´s last book: El Ego trascendental. It will be argued that Atilana Guerrero´s piece is to be understood as a
reinterpretation of Sánchez de Acre´s philosophical thought from the standpoint of the ontological tenets of Gustavo Bueno´s materialist philosophy. The author points out that Atilana Guerrero confronts two philosophical conceptual maps in which ideas such as those of God, Soul and World are internally organized in contrasting ways.
