Abstract
A tour of some visual metaphors with which cancer has been associated was integrated, in opposition of the Pink Ribbon rhetoric of the months of October. Through the analysis of the work of visual artists on the theme of disease and cancer, it was found that the representation of the disease from experience tends towards metaphors of survival and pain, while the commercial representation proposes a version of concealment. This will be used to produce a textile by the hands of breast cancer patients undergoing treatment.
