Abstract
In this work a description of different embodiments of
complex thought in some disciplines of medical sciences is
made. These have gradually required new approaches to
rethinking their objects of study under the changing conditions
of the postmodern world. Particularly, aspects of
Epidemiology, Clinical Medicine, are mentioned. All these
require reformulation of their epistemic bases to advance
in the processes of acquiring new knowledge. This
must be achieved by taking advantage on the theoretical
fundaments of interdisciplinary and complex thought.
