Abstract
The speed in the development of science and technology has led to the relevance and importance of studying technological change, for which reason the purpose of this article is to carry out a literature review of the main theoretical approaches to technological change. By applying the MAGG methodological orientation, the main approaches, validity and trend in the current context are identified, where a prevalence of Schumpeter's (1961) approach and evolutionary economics is evidenced, which suggests a field of study with room for more contributions. as well as the Kurzweil (2005) proposal that disagrees with the schumpeterine, neoclassical, and evolutionary contributions by suggesting a dynamic of exponential technological change.
