Abstract
In Los escritores y sus representaciones: formación, campo literario, escritura, lector, crítica, canon, mercado editorial, libros, José Luis de Diego conducts an in-depth analysis of the figure of the writer in contemporary literature in Argentina and Uruguay, in order to do this, it places the investigation at the crossroads of literature and cultural studies. Drawing on Pierre Bourdieu's theory of symbolic production fields (2008), the author explores how representations of the writer are shaped by social, political, and economic forces. The work stands out for its interdisciplinary approach, which integrates literary analysis and sociocultural criticism, which provides new perspectives on the construction of authorial identity in the Southern Cone. De Diego contextualizes his analyses historically and enriches the understanding of the cultural and symbolic dynamics that influence literary production. This book is an essential contribution for scholars and researchers interested in the intersection between literature, culture, and power in Latin America.
