TACTICAL URBAN PLANNING TO REGENERATE AREAS WITH A TENDENCY TO SOCIAL RUPTURES

Abstract

The following article presents
a working hypothesis based on
community design and tactical
urbanism. It was made by students
from the Bachelor of Architecture
of the Autonomous University of
Querétaro and the Juárez University
of the State of Durango, to
improve social and urban conditions
within the community of the
Barrio de San Sebastián, located
in the Municipality of Querétaro.
The project proposes solutions to
social problems that the community
of San Sebastián has presented
for many years due to its
socio-historical context. Today, in
2020, a series of events has led the
community to the verge of a social
break that will be difficult to repair
if action is not taken in the near
future as of the date of this study.
