Abstract

The book focuses on the study of the professional quality of political elites in Mexico, specifically how politics has been practiced over the past 90 years. Among its main contributions to the field is the incorporation of debates and premises from previous studies on the formation of the political elite, recruitment processes, professional trajectories, the identification of generational cliques, and the ideological principles guiding their political actions. However, the author delves deeper into the professional quality of the production and reproduction process of the presidential cabinet's political cadres. The emphasis is placed on the political elite's capacity to execute a political project, as well as their limitations in constructing a political platform that addresses the challenges of 21st-century Mexico.
