Abstract
This article presents some relevant reflections about the concepts of empowerment and self-employment based on a study I made be- tween 2018 and 2020 with 18 producers of the uaq University Market in the state of Querétaro.This research answered the ques- tions: Can self-employment be a way to empower women? What factors affect the women's empowerment processes? The analysis was a qualitative research, based on the feminist theoretical-me- thodological approach
