Abstract
This essay proposes a reflection that discusses the spatial dimension of citizenship, based on the processes of modernity-postmodernity in public planning, and how the growing complexity of cities, particularly in the Latin American region, has managed to configure diverse socio-state interfaces in which the population is linked to public power.
