Abstract
Feminism has been fundamental in advancing toward less unequal societies. It is configured as an emancipatory project while remaining relentlessly critical of the capitalist, colonialist, and patriarchal systems. The task of feminist critical theory is to unveil the oppression and exploitation of women through: (1) the development of a diagnostic explanatory analysis of women's oppression throughout history, culture, and societies; (2) the application of a utopian emancipatory critique of the forms and values of our current society and culture; and (3) the projection of new ways of relating to one another and to nature in the future (Amorós, 2005).
