Abstract
Biosphere Reserves are areas that seek to develop sustainable use practices that allow human well-being without degrading the environment, and promote the conservation, development and logistical support within the reserve. That is why, as far as possible, the regulation of construction of human settlement habitats within the zones allowed in the reserves should be carried out in order to avoid the imbalance in man’s relationship with his environment. The bibliographic and documentary analysis presented in this paper looks at the regulations that exist on the construction of human settlement habitats in Mexico and within the Biosphere Reserves. It presents a comparison between the advantages and disadvantages that exist in a regulation of sustainability that allows the regulation of habitat construction; from there, the first indications are generated about what can be done in the Sierra Gorda of Querétaro Biosphere Reserve (as a first approximation) to begin a regulation of habitat construction that seeks to have the balance between the biosphere reserve and human settlements. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
