The Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) is committed to guaranteeing access to and long-term preservation of the digital objects hosted on its servers. To ensure the continuous availability of these resources, the Periodical Publications Coordination, responsible for the UAQ Journals Portal, collaborates with the Direction of Information, Technology and Innovation in the implementation of the following measures:

• Periodic backups.
• Constant monitoring of the technological environment to anticipate possible format migrations or obsolete software updates.
• Use of DOI (Digital Object Identifier) identifiers to ensure document traceability.

In addition to the above, HArtes journal, hosted in the UAQ Journals Portal, has the PKP PN module that integrates the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) program, which provides decentralized and distributed preservation, as well as perpetual access without interruptions and preservation of the original authentic version of the content. Likewise, and contributing to digital preservation, HArtes stores information in internal hard drives, the drive of the journal's institutional email account and in the Academia.edu online repository.
