Abstract

Israel Rodas immerses his readers in the catharsis of the learning process that Sebastián, the young protagonist of Las golondrinas (Tandaia 2019), experiences under the tutelage of Jerónimo, an enigmatic thirty-five-year-old neighbor whose reputation in the Colonia Condesa in Mexico City is suspicious due to its fondness for leisure and, above all, for one of its most transgressive manifestations: reading.
