Abstract
In this work, the authors address the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the music industry, examining its historical, technological, ethical, and labor implications. The central problem is how the integration of these new tools, especially Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI), is transforming music creation and production, generating both significant opportunities and challenges. The objective of the research is to explore how the music industry is being reshaped, evaluating potential benefits such as the democratization of music creation and disruptions, including job loss and ethical dilemmas related to originality and authorship. It could be argued that while AI can democratize music creation and increase efficiency, it may also lead to a dehumanization of art and a reconfiguration of the labor market in music.
