Abstract
This study analyzes two Ecuadorian science fiction works that explore technological futures in the Andes. On the one hand, Angelus Hostis is a cyberpunk graphic novel that imagines an Ecuador in 2120 with nuclear fusion energy and a society controlled by an omnipresent digital network. On the other hand, Andean Sky is a webcomic that focuses on migration and features futuristic aerial and construction technologies in the plot development. Both works address issues such as power, control, human nature and social conflicts in a context of technological development, offering a critical reflection on the technological future of Latin America and the influence of science fiction in the Andean region.
