Abstract

The following report is focused on analyzing two Italian writers travel depositions during the second half of the XX century, identifying on the narration the different impressions that arise about Mexico from back then, which allows us to understand how the image of a country is built from the individual experience of each author and the type of journey they have traveled. Furthermore, both writings are confronted to extract similarities and differences that lie on both writers opinions, where memoirs
lead to an analogic vision of a paradisiac Mexico, where it is still possible to find past trace of the great Mesoamerican civilizations in the current Mexican society, specifically on the humblest sectors.
