Abstract

The virtue ethics have changed the landscape of the debate in moral philosophy since it was corseted between consecuentialism and utilitarianism. This article reflects about the new ethical stream, philosophy of virtue. At least, those who update the aristotelian heritage adding the progress of the history of ethics in Modernity. To do this, we will review the classic theory of virtue of Aristotle and speak from that point about the ideas of McIntyre, Nussbaum and Foot. The main premises of this authors will be expose in
final conclusions trying to do a framework to understand the resurge of virtue ethics.
