Author Guidelines

Diseminaciones is a peer-reviewed, semiannual journal of the Facultad de Lenguas y Letras of the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) that publishes original works of interest in the field of the Humanities and Social Sciences produced at national and international institutions.

Original, unpublished research articles are accepted in Spanish, English, or Portuguese; they must not be under simultaneous consideration in any other review or publication process, and must be submitted in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format. Critical essays, interviews, and book reviews are also accepted. Translations of other works deemed relevant by the Editorial Committee are likewise accepted; in such cases, the primary source must be indicated and the corresponding permission of the original author or publisher obtained.

Submission is made online through the journal's Submissions tab. Articles will not be accepted by any other means. Once the manuscript has been received, the author will receive an acknowledgment-of-receipt email and will subsequently be informed whether or not the article proceeds to the review process.

Two digital files must be submitted for each contribution. One of them will contain the author's (authors') information and must include: first name(s) and surname(s), as they usually sign their work and without using initials (if the text is by more than one author, the first will be considered the principal author); city and country; a curricular summary including teaching or research positions and ranks, institutional or organizational affiliation, email address, and ORCID (if the author does not have one, it must be created). The other file will contain the complete body of the article, avoiding any reference to the author(s) in order to preserve anonymity during the review process.

By submitting a contribution to the journal, authors grant the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, through the Facultad de Lenguas y Letras, the permissions necessary for their contribution to be published in electronic format on the platforms deemed appropriate. Authors are responsible for the content of their contribution and release the university from any liability arising from plagiarism or misuse of information. Authors likewise accept the copyediting changes the journal may make to their contribution in order to improve its presentation.

Each manuscript must be accompanied by:

• The title of the text in Spanish and English.
• An abstract of the text in Spanish and English, not exceeding 150 words. It must be written as a single paragraph that concisely presents the purpose, the main results, and the conclusions of the research.
• Between 3 and 8 keywords or key phrases, in Spanish and English. They must not coincide with words or phrases already present in the title of the text.
• Each part of the article must be set off with a subheading. The article must include an introduction stating its aims, as well as any other elements the author wishes to highlight; the sections, with their corresponding headings; the conclusions; and the bibliographic references.

Format for the presentation of texts:

• Text format: .doc or .rtf
• Document size: Letter (215 × 279 mm)
• Font: Times New Roman 12
• Line spacing: 1.5
• Length for research articles: 15–20 pages.
• Length for critical essays: 7–10 pages.
• Length for reviews: 3–5 pages.
• All sources cited in the articles or mentioned in the body of the text must be clearly identified, following the 7th edition of APA.
