Abstract
This research evaluates the characteristics of recycled materials, which vary depending on the concrete of origin, thus each recycling bank must be evaluated according to current Mexican regulations. Recycled materials can be used in construction, although not in structural layers due to the variability in their granulometric distribution, but in lower strata as is the case in dirt roads. Lab-
oratory tests were carried out, identifying a high concentration of sands in the recycled concrete (60.22%) in comparison to the natural ones (30.95%). The granulometry, texture and behavior of the
fines were evaluated, highlighting that these improve the concrete resistance by means of filling cracks. The research focuses on the evaluation of the feasibility of using recycled materials through parameters established in the regulations as a sustainable alternative in road construction, comparing materials of natural and processed origin, concluding that the combination of both improves performance. of the mixtures. In Querétaro, there is only one regulated construction recycling bank, and its combined use is recommended to improve the particle size distribution and mechanical properties of the mixture.
