Abstract

Plant morphological characteristics, physical-chemical quality parameters, and organoleptic assessment were determined in three black cherry tomato varieties. Plant height nor the number of clusters per plant do not indicate differences in plant behavior of the three varieties. The Kumato variety excelled in the physical-chemical quality parameters. Otherwise, the Indigo Cherry Drops variety excelled in the chemical quality parameters. Indigo Cherry Drops variety has the preference the unqualified judges in the combination of Visual aspect, Touch, and Taste sensorial attributes. These results suggested that the sensorial perception and physical-chemical characteristics increased marketing possibilities for black cherry tomatoes, as well as developing a commercial product that will satisfy the needs and demands of the consumers and thus promote the consumption of quality black cherry tomatoes.
