About the Journal

Perspectivas de la Ciencia y la Tecnología (ISSN: 2683-3107) is a semestral journal published by the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, through the Research and Postgraduate Division of the Faculty of Engineering. Its contents include original articles, reviews, and studies resulting from projects that follow a rigorous research process or an innovative application in the areas of Engineering study.

Objective

To publish original articles, reviews, and studies resulting from research projects or an innovative application in the field of Engineering. Additionally, the journal is open to publishing content related to the following thematic areas:

  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • Mechatronic
  • Civil
  • Nanotechnology
  • Biosystems
  • Automation
  • Instrumentation and control
  • Artificial intelligence

Publication Policies

  1. The journal will receive original and unpublished articles that have not been submitted for publication in other journals or editorial bodies. Proposals are analyzed by Turnitin for similarity detection and potential plagiarism.
  2. Authors must declare any financial or personal relationship that could inappropriately influence their work or, alternatively, declare that there is no conflict of interest.
  3. All authors must express agreement with the content of the article and the evaluation process of this journal (see: Author Declaration Template).
  4. Users will be able to access published articles to download or copy them. Articles must be properly cited and kept in their entirety.
  5. Adaptation or redistribution of articles for commercial purposes is prohibited.

Format and Frequency of Publication

Perspectivas de la Ciencia y la Tecnología is a semiannual electronic format journal.

Evaluation Process

  1. Received articles are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process, meaning both reviewers and authors remain anonymous.
  2. Authors remain anonymous during the evaluation process may self-cite in a way that their identity is not evident.
  3. Once authors receive comments from reviewers, they must make the relevant changes or justify their work within no more than two weeks. They must also attach a free-format rebuttal letter specifying the changes made to the work and how they addressed the reviewers' observations.
  4. Reviewers will verify the corrections/justifications to issue their final verdict and accept or reject the article for publication.
  5. Failure to comply with the journal's publication policies will result in rejection.

Use of interoperability protocols.

This journal provides an OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative – Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) interface, enabling other portals and information services to access the metadata of published content.
