Issue 17 (January–June 2026) of Diseminaciones brings together five articles and one review that explore literature, language, and culture from contemporary and diverse perspectives. The first article studies the poetry of Briceida Cuevas Cob and explains how representations of Maya women are constructed through the intersection of gender and ethnicity, drawing on discursive genres, linguistic resources, and elements of everyday life. The second text focuses on the poetry collection Tsína rí nàyaxà' / Cicatriz que te mira by Hubert Matiúwàa, in which territory is understood as a symbolic space that articulates memory, identity, and belonging within a bilingual poetic project. The third article analyzes the novel El fuego verde by Verónica Murguía and highlights the importance of the medieval marvelous in Luned's transformation into a storyteller, underscoring how this fictional framework structures the plot and the character's development. The fourth contribution approaches the figure of José María Arguedas from a psychological perspective, drawing on his life history and personal writings to identify traits such as depression, resilience, and a profound social empathy. The fifth article examines the urban slang of Mexicali, showing how bilingualism and cultural contact with the United States drive processes of linguistic innovation and local identity. Finally, the review examines a work devoted to the iconography of Saint Anthony the Abbot, highlighting its contribution to the study of Christian art through the analysis of visual and documentary sources.
