Outline of stuctural and conjuctural aspects of the family constitution after the approval of equal marriage in Ecuador

Abstract

In this text, it has been thought to do an analysis of structural and conjunctural characteristics that have led to the resolution of the Constitutional Court regards same-sex marriage, and the reaction of the public opinion to this. The resultant reflection of these aspects is the change needed of how family is conceived; and with this, the subjectivities that families form. This in order to achieve possibilities of life for diverse subjects in the State based on the Rule of law. The article presented was part of the event “Same-sex marriage and its impact on Ecuadorean society”; organized by first semester students of Initial Education in the Central University of Ecuador on July 16th, 2019.
