Applied emerged within the framework of distritoQRO, an initiative aimed at strengthening the links between knowledge, innovation, and territorial development through an inclusive development model articulated by advisory councils for applied research, citizen participation, and social urbanism. In line with this initiative, the contents of the journal's two sections, Scientific Dissemination and Science Outreach, seek to promote the generation, exchange, and social appropriation of knowledge. This editorial project is made possible through the collaboration of several institutions that contribute to its development, strengthening, and consolidation, including Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ), Tecnológico de Monterrey, Escuela Nacional de Estudios Superiores, Unidad Juriquilla, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (ENES Juriquilla, UNAM), and Consejo de Ciencia y Tecnología del Estado de Querétaro (CONCYTEQ).
