Abstract
The purpose of this work is to reflect on regional citizenship with special reference to Mercosur. Citizenship has been a concept closely linked to duties and rights within the borders of national states and, even so, it presents limitations in its full exercise. This invites us to review the validity of classic conceptualizations, as well as to reflect on their expanded application to blocks of national states that seek to integrate. In the previous edition of this publication, the first part of an investigation on the topic was presented, which proposed to work based on indicators constructed from elements offered by public opinion. In this issue, the findings of the last stage of this investigation are presented, whose main weakness is the territorial limitation. Consequently, starting in 2024, the
study is reformulated in order to obtain comparable conclusions for other social spaces in Mercosur.
