Rethinking the limits of the concept of political culture in order to understand the crisis through its ambivalence

Abstract

It is proposed that, to understand the ambivalence of the political culture in Mexico regarding the support-rejection of democracy present in the diagnoses on its perception such as in the Latinobarómetro 2023, it is important to talk about different ways in which the political dynamics operate in the margins of the institutionality of the State. In this sense, the concepts of infrapolitics, impolitics, antipolitics and postpolitics addressed by different currents of social sciences are proposed to account for the complexity in the approach to said concept.
