Abstract
The primary objectives of the research are to inquire about the types of religious denominations that are currently found in the municipality of Landa de Matamoros in the state of Querétaro. We understand that Catholicism is not a monolithic entity, as has been commonly understood, since like any cultural manifestation it is affected by the context and circumstances (temporal and spatial) that determine it. This without ignoring the traditions, in this case the religious ones, which tend to be a means for the transmission of values (apparently universal) from generation to generation. We also ask ourselves, in the case of Catholic and
non-Catholic religions, what are the predominant practices and rituals in the municipality of Landa de Matamoros and how are they manifested in everyday life? The work to be carried out will be guided by oral history and anthropological methodologies such as field work that allowed the collection of testimonies (in written form, in audio and video), to recognize the places of religious congregation that the municipality has.
