Abstract
Currently, in Latin America, the political rise of Indianism is taking place. From our perspective, it has two expressions that can be considered extreme: the revolutionary Mapuche and the multinational Aymara. They have had scientific and historical literature, but their uniqueness lies in the fact that their actors have become facts. One case –the Mapuche- is still a sketch of a rebellion that still has an uncertain destiny; the other -Aymara- has taken the form of a State. In this presentation we make an analysis that is focused on the political value of culture
