Radicalizing the Illusory: QAnon and the Rise of Conspiracy in América

Abstract

The present work intends to investigate the conspiracy theory in the United States, focusing on QAnon, one of the most prolific assumptions that have emerged on the internet that has given way to the formation of a radical movement as a support base for Donald Trump during and after his presidential term. Starting from a brief review of its history and objectives, the link created with American society together with groups associated with the extreme right is explored, as well as the themes inserted in the
proposed narrative, the realities and omissions that surround it and who or who are responsible behind QAnon.
