Abstract
This work was developed in the Documentary Photography course taught by Professor Carlos Rode V. at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at the Autonomous University of Querétaro during the second semester of 2023. The photographs belong to the photo essay "The World of K-pop: Between Routines and Youth Passions."
It finds its justification in the focus on cultural influences in the construction of youth identities and in the process of intercultural transformation.
K-pop, or Korean pop, is a phenomenon that, in addition to being a musical genre, encompasses other cultural dimensions such as fashion, food, entertainment, dance, and a wide variety of products originating from South Korea, which, due to globalization, have permeated popular expressions in different countries. These practices manifest in the aspirations, communications, re-signification of signs, and social relationships of all those who love Korean culture.
